Christmas in London

We spent Christmas Eve walking… and walking… It was a typical London day, rainy and gray, but that didn’t dampen our spirits as we visited the usual London sights ~ Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, “Not So Big Ben” (I think Trevor was disappointed), and Trafalgar Square.

We considered St. Paul’s Cathedral for Midnight Mass, but since everything shuts down in London on Christmas, we feared we might get stranded, so we opted for the local church, The Church of the Immaculate Conception.  It was very cathedral-like with an operatic-like choir.  The priest had a great sense of humor and was very entertaining.  It was perfect.
