Third stop on our around-the-world tour was New York City. We knew many families who had moved to New York in June and since I had never been to New York, I thought this was the perfect opportunity. We positioned ourselves perfectly after all the winter storms and landed without a hitch.
Parts of New York reminded me of Chicago but at a much more frenetic pace. It was a little like maneuvering yourself amongst the crowds at Shinjuku station- plot your path and go for it! We met the Arao’s, Benus’, Hammer’s, and Bene’s, 26 of us, at Ruby Foo’s. As always, Bob ordered a ton of wonderful food. Fortunately, we did our second walking tour of a major city which seems to be keeping us in somewhat decent post-holiday shape.
